Some people are worried that our kids will struggle to focus, given the news this week that over half of 11-year-olds now have a smartphone. So the timing for these smart glasses are kind of perfect. They "discourage distractability by darkening when your mind wanders from the task you should be focused on." Keep your kid on task and more humane than electric shocks ... I suppose that's a win-win.
5 Months After Returning Rental Car, Man Still Has Control
A guy connected his mobile phone via the FordPass to a rental and then maintained access for months after his rental was over. But that's not the most interesting part of this story. He then tried repeatedly to email, tweet and call Ford to let them know and pleaded with them to fix the issue - to no response. This is a tech fail, but perhaps even bigger of a PR and customer service fail. Why invest in social listening if you're going to ignore when people talk to you?
London Salon Bans Small Talk With World's First "Silent Haircut"

Sometimes you just want to avoid the small talk - so a London-based salon is offering that quiet experience for anyone who prefers to just have their hair cut in silence. It's tempting to see this as a sad sign of our shrinking humanity - but I prefer to read it as a brilliant marketing and PR stunt that generated worldwide attention for an otherwise ordinary salon. Non-obvious indeed.
This Movember, Remember Women Have Moustaches Too

You may be accustomed to seeing men grow out their moustaches in November as part of the "Movember" campaign, but now shaving brand Billie is trying to get women to participate too. It's not clear how many women will voluntarily grow their own moustaches this November, but the campaign is an edgy and funny way to promote razors and shaving products for women.
